The overarching goal is to enhance the health and well being of pregnant mothers and their children in Wisconsin's Racine and Kenosha communities. By 6/30/09, the goal is to implement a community based, volunteer driven program to enhance non-medical, practical, communal/social support and advocacy to African-American pregnant women.

The Racine/Kenosha Birthing Project is a locally based nonprofit organization created to assist pregnant women to better understand and cope with childbirth and parenthood. Partnered with the National Birthing Project, we offer support to the women of Racine and Kenosha. Based on the original concept, we offer the opportunity for our women to help one another through the most trying and beautiful moments of our lives.
